Implementing well the "4 on-site" motto in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 2, the Border Guard of Nghe An province held a conference to disseminate the plan for natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue; fire and explosion prevention, forest fire prevention, and collapse rescue for the period 2018 - 2023.

At the conference, delegates were informed of the objectives, tasks, organization of forces, means, some specific situations and handling methods in the work of natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue; fire prevention and control, forest fires, and collapse rescue in border areas, coastal areas, and at sea of the Provincial Border Guard.
In particular, the guiding ideology is to attach importance to prevention work, and when a situation occurs, to actively and proactively respond quickly and effectively. At the same time, to effectively implement the "4 on-site" motto (on-site command, on-site forces, on-site facilities, on-site logistics), to mobilize all human resources, means, and facilities, to respond promptly, to save people first, then to save property, and to minimize damage to people and property.

When natural disasters occur causing damage to people and property, units are authorized to use regular forces and means of operation under their authority to respond, and at the same time report to superiors; ensure absolute safety for officers, soldiers, and all types of vehicles participating in responding to natural disasters and accidents...
Concluding the conference, Colonel Tran Hai Binh requested departments, professional offices and units to effectively implement the plan throughout the province; prevent, combat and effectively handle all natural disasters and accidents occurring in border areas, coastal areas and at sea to minimize damage to people, property and equipment caused by natural disasters and accidents.
