Nghe An: Highlights of August 24th
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was present at the Forward Command Post in Nghe An to directly supervise the response to Typhoon No. 5; a Government Forward Command Post was established to serve the direction and management of the response to Typhoon No. 5 (Kajiki) in Nghe An; the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee directed the urgent response to Typhoon No. 5; provincial leaders inspected and directed the response to Typhoon No. 5... These are some of the highlights of August 24th.
*On the evening of August 24th,Comrade Pham Minh Chinh -The Politburo member and Prime Minister was present at the Government's forward command post located at the 4th Military Region Command, Nghe An province, to directly command the response to Typhoon No. 5.

*Given the unpredictable developments of Typhoon No. 5, the Prime Minister issued a directive on focusing on emergency response to Typhoon No. 5 (Kajiki). The Rescue and Relief Department (Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee) issued a directive to deploy the Government's Forward Command Post to serve the online direction and management of the response to Typhoon No. 5.

*Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party CommitteeIssued an official directive to focus on emergency response to Typhoon No. 5.

*Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung- The Provincial Party Secretary inspected and directed the response to Typhoon No. 5 (Typhoon Kajiti) in coastal localities today (August 24).

* Same dayComrade Le Hong Vinh- The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province inspected the response to Typhoon No. 5 in Cua Lo ward, An Chau commune, and Dien Chau commune.

Also on August 24th,Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van DeHe inspected and directed the response to Typhoon No. 5 at several reservoir projects and aquaculture areas in the locality.
