Field experiment of 15 phone theft cases at hospitals in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Ngoc Thai has committed 15 phone thefts at hospitals in Nghe An. Authorities have asked him to reenact his actions at the scene.
On the morning of May 26, Vinh City Police (Nghe An) conducted a crime scene reenactment of property theft cases at Nghe An General Hospital and Vinh City General Hospital. The subject in this case is Nguyen Ngoc Thai (born in 1981), residing in Phong Thinh Commune, Thanh Chuong District (Nghe An).

Previously, from November 2018 to May 2020, many cases of phone theft occurred in hospitals in Vinh City. Faced with this situation, Vinh City Police established a special project to combat and eradicate the above-mentioned crime. Through the synchronous application of professional measures, the Vinh City Police Department arrested Nguyen Ngoc Thai for property theft.

Taking advantage of crowded hospitals and the negligence of patients and their caregivers, the subject has infiltrated hospitals to steal phones. Up to now, the subject has committed 15 thefts, and initially, Vinh City Police have proven that the amount of damage is about 50 million VND.

At the investigation agency, the subject confessed that due to drug addiction and not having a stable job, he stole to get money to spend. Currently, the Vinh City Police Department is temporarily detaining the subject for investigation and clarification.
