(Baonghean.vn) - There has been heavy to very heavy rain from yesterday afternoon to today (September 26) in some localities in Nghe An such as Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Thanh Chuong... It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, there is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes in many districts.

WARNING OF FLOODS, LANDSLIDES, SUBSTITUTION CAUSED BY RAINS, FLOODS OR STREAMS IN THE NORTH CENTRAL REGION

1.Rain situation has passed:

In the past 24 hours (from 2:00 p.m. on September 25 to 2:00 p.m. on September 26), the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh experienced moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain.

Rainfall measured at automatic rain gauges at stations in the past 24 hours as follows:

Yen My 216.6 mm, Ngoc Tra 157 mm (Thanh Hoa); My Son 1 234.4 mm, Muoi Waterfall 229.4 mm (Nghe An); Huong Trach 1: 409.2 mm, Huong Lam 381.8 mm (Ha Tinh)...

Current soil moisture status: Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above provinces are nearly saturated (over 90%) or have reached a saturated state.

2.Rain warning for the coming period:

It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, the provinces will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain. Accumulated rainfall in the provinces of the North Central region is from 40-100mm, in some places over 150mm.
