This project, together with the expansion of National Highway 7 through the market, will be combined into a 57m wide “prosperity avenue”, serving the maximum demand for goods circulation to the districts. A clothing trader said: “We feel secure doing business at the new market. The new market is spacious, modern, clean, beautiful, no longer having to worry about electrical short circuits, security and order are guaranteed”.

Sharing the same sentiment, general merchandise vendor Nguyen Van Nhac said: “Previously, the old market was cramped, business was slow and unsanitary. On rainy days, the roof leaked and the goods got wet. Now, at the new, modern market, I see more customers coming to buy goods, so I am very happy.”

At the market, many small traders were urgently hiring workers to decorate their stalls to prepare for the opening of new stores. In the fresh food and vegetable and fruit areas, buyers and sellers were bustling.

Starting from September 24, the Do Luong Traditional Market and Trade Center officially welcomed traders moving from the old market. In just a short time, more than 70% of traders from the old market have moved to the new Do Luong market. Regarding the rights of business households at the old market, when moving from the old market to the new market, all business households (if they continue to have business needs) will be arranged with business kiosks according to the plan, according to each product line and suitable location, equivalent to the current location of the households at the old market.

Moving goods to the new market, all traders are supported by the investor with 3 million VND/kiosk for relocation costs. The first year's business stabilization costs are 15 million VND. Support for price reduction compared to market prices, the investor approved according to the proposal of Do Luong district to support the costs for traders of the old Do Luong market by about 50%.

Therefore, the price of renting kiosks for peoplemerchantThe old market is currently being rented at a lower price than the State market price. This is the policy that the investor is applying to the old market's small traders, who are given special priority until October 15, 2021.

For small traders who still have questions and complaints, the Market Management Board organizes dialogues to grasp their thoughts and aspirations and draws lots for fair kiosk locations. Currently, 100% of small traders have been arranged by the investor to do business at the new market.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Vice Chairman of Do Luong District People's Committee said: The commercial center combined with Do Luong traditional market is one of the key projects of Do Luong district approved by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to change the urban appearance, promote the economic development of Do Luong district, as well as the goal of building Do Luong town into a type 4 urban area and moving towards becoming a town in the near future.

Recently, the district has implemented synchronous solutions so that traders can soon enter the new Do Luong market to stabilize business and trade, ensuring harmony of interests between traders and investors.
