District market traders surround and arrest a woman suspected of 'hypnotizing' her to swindle more than 10 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - Mrs. Nh. - a merchant at Do Luong market (Nghe An) was selling goods when a woman came to exchange money. Later, Mrs. Nh. was seen giving a lot of money to the strange woman. Thinking that this person "hypnotized" her to get money, many merchants surrounded and caught this woman.
On the afternoon of March 2, Do Luong District Police were taking statements from a woman who was surrounded and arrested by vendors at the Do Luong District Trade Center market on suspicion of hypnotizing her to steal her property.
Before that, at around 7:30 a.m. the same day, Ms. Nh. - who sold areca nuts and betel leaves at the Do Luong District Trade Center market, had a woman over 50 years old come to buy goods and exchange 200,000 VND "to celebrate a wedding".

A moment later, the vendors next door saw Ms. Nh. give many bills worth 200,000 VND, 500,000 VND, about more than 10 million VND to this woman.
Suspecting that this woman "hypnotized" Ms. Nh. to steal her property, the merchants detained her and demanded to "punish" her on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, the Management Board of the Do Luong District Trade Center Market took the woman to the office to ensure her safety and reported the incident to the Do Luong District Police.
According to traders, some traders in this market were previously "hypnotized" by a strange woman and had tens of millions of dong taken away.
The incident of traders arresting a woman for allegedly "hypnotizing" her was shared on Facebook, causing confusion and worry for many people.
