Nghe An Provincial Youth Union gives Mid-Autumn gifts and tablets to students in difficult circumstances
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 16, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Young Pioneer Council organized a Mid-Autumn Festival gift giving ceremony and presented tablets in response to the program "Waves and computers for children" to teenagers and children in Hung Nguyen district and Vinh city.

The Mid-Autumn Festival program “Lanterns light up dreams” is an activity to show the concern and enhance the role and responsibility of the Youth Union and the Pioneer Council at all levels in the work of protecting, caring for and educating teenagers and children, especially children in difficult circumstances. This activity is a continuation of the campaign “For beloved juniors”.
In Hung Nguyen district, the delegation presented Mid-Autumn gifts to 42 orphans, disadvantaged children, and children in difficult circumstances who are currently being cared for at Lam Bich Shelter, in Hamlet 5, Hung Yen Bac Commune.
At hamlet 1, Hung Yen Nam commune, the delegation also visited, encouraged, and gave gifts to the family of Ms. Pham Thi Suu, a single mother raising 2 school-age children.

Responding to the program "Waves and computers for children" launched by the Prime Minister and "Learning online with children" of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Le Van Luong directly presented a tablet to Ngo Duc Duy (Ms. Suu's son) to serve online learning in the current epidemic context, ensuring "stop going to school but not stop learning".

In Vinh City, Mid-Autumn gifts were delivered to children in Hamlet 8, Hung Chinh Commune. Provincial Youth Union leaders also directly visited and presented a tablet to Nguyen Tuan Kiet, residing in Hamlet 18, Nghi Phu Commune, who has overcome difficult circumstances and achieved good academic results.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union called for funding from the For Vietnamese Stature Fund to present 470 welfare bags worth a total of VND 141 million to people in difficult circumstances and people in areas where social distancing is being implemented to prevent and fight the pandemic. This is an activity within the framework of the Million Welfare Bags program launched by the Central Youth Union.

In addition to the gifts presented on the afternoon of September 16 in Hung Yen Bac commune (Hung Nguyen) and Hung Chinh commune (Vinh city), the remaining social security bags will continue to be delivered to other circumstances in many localities in the province, contributing to ensuring social security and soon overcoming the Covid-19 epidemic.
