Seminar to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Laos diplomatic relations in Que Phong border district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 14, Que Phong district organized a seminar to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2022) and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2022).

Attending the discussion on the side of Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic were comrades: Vieng Phon Phim Ma Chan - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Muong Quan District Party Committee; Thong Vang Khun Thon Hung Mi Xay - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Khien Thong Tham Bun Mi Xay - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Xam Tay District.
On the side of Que Phong district, there were comrade Truong Minh Cuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; comrades of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, District People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, agencies and units of Que Phong district.
Attending the discussion were leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province.
The delegates reviewed the special traditional relationship between the two Parties, two States and two peoples of Vietnam and Laos. The two neighboring countries, linked by mountains and rivers, have a great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation, which has been cultivated and developed by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phonvyhan and the people of the two countries.
Que Phong district shares a border of more than 74km with Muong Quan and Xam Tay districts, Hua Phan province (Laos). Under the leadership of the Party and Government of the two countries, of Nghe An province and Hua Phan province, the three districts of Que Phong - Xam Tay - Muong Quan continue to foster and maintain a close, cooperative, peaceful and friendly relationship.
The three districts of the two countries continue to maintain cooperation in all fields, maintain political stability, build and protect a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing border. The localities periodically hold meetings and closely coordinate to effectively resolve issues, create favorable conditions, solidarity, exchange, economic and social development, and visit relatives.
Armed forces of the three districts closely coordinate in border patrol, crime prevention; exchange information, contributing to firmly protecting the border and landmarks.
Que Phong district has helped other districts with equipment, materials, and funding to build a number of project works. After the discussion, the three districts organized sports exchanges such as volleyball, petanque, and cultural exchanges to foster solidarity./.
