On the evening of May 31, Vietnam recorded 85 more Covid-19 cases and 80 people recovered.

85 new cases were recorded tonight from number 7237-7321, of which 82 were domestic cases in Bac Giang 43, Bac Ninh 34, Binh Duong 3, Hanoi and Tra Vinh each had 1 case.

Thus, on May 31, Vietnam recorded 214 new cases, including 211 domestic cases, mainly in Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi and 3 imported cases. Two more provinces with Covid-19, Tra Vinh and Binh Duong, brought the number of provinces and cities with the epidemic to 36.

There are 12 provinces including: Yen Bai, Quang Ngai, Dong Nai, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Dak Lak, Nam Dinh, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang that have gone 14 days without recording any new cases.

Today, 80 patients were announced to be cured, bringing the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the epidemic to 3,030.

The total number of community infections from April 27 to now is 4,246.recorded in 36 provinces and cities. The number of new infections tonight brings the total number of cases in Bac Giang to 2,252, Bac Ninh to 842, Hanoi to 412 (including 93 cases at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, 50 cases at K Hospital), Binh Duong to 3 cases, Tay Ninh to 1 case.

Hanoi

Case 7237, male, 1 year old, F1 of 5408, was quarantined, test result on May 30 was positive for nCoV.

Bac Ninh

Cases 7238-7247, 7249-7251, 7254, 7256-7257, 7259-7260, 7262, 7266-7268, 7271, 7273, 7276, 7279-7280, 7282-7283, 7286, 7289-7290, 7293-7294 include 6 cases of F1, 14 cases related to the Khac Niem Industrial Park outbreak, 12 cases related to the Que Vo Industrial Park outbreak, 2 cases related to the Thuan Thanh outbreak. Test results on May 29-30 showed they were positive for nCoV.

Bac Giang

Cases 7248, 7252-7253, 7255, 7258, 7261, 7263-7265, 7269-7270, 7272, 7274-7275, 7277-7278, 7281, 7284-7285, 7288, 7292, 7295-7299, 7301, 7303-7304, 7307-7308, 7310-7321 were recorded in Bac Giang province in quarantine areas and locked-down areas, related to workers working in industrial parks.

Tra Vinh

Case 7302, male, 21 years old, F1 of case 6289, was quarantined, test result on May 30 was positive for nCoV.

Binh Duong

Cases 7305-7306, 7309 are F1 cases of 7067, F1 of 7068, related to the Renaissance Mission Church; were quarantined, test results on May 30 were positive for nCoV.

3 cases quarantined immediately after entry:

Cases 7287 and 7291 were quarantined in Quang Nam province. On May 29, they entered Vietnam from Japan on flight VJ8859. The first test result on May 31 was positive for nCoV. They were treated at Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.

Case 7300 was quarantined in Tay Ninh province. On May 11, the patient entered Vietnam from abroad, the third test result on May 30 was positive for nCoV, and was treated at Ben Cau District Medical Center, Tay Ninh.

On May 31, Bac Giang province discharged 36 cases, including Field Hospital No. 1 (27) and Rehabilitation Hospital (9). These cases are all workers of Viet Yen Industrial Park. Lang Son province coordinated to receive local citizens to quarantine at their place of residence according to regulations.

9 patients successfully weaned off ventilators at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
