Vinh City: Nearly 1 ton of expired cornstarch, tapioca pearls, and coconut flavoring discovered
(Baonghean.vn) - Nearly 1 ton of cornstarch, tapioca starch, tapioca starch and coconut flavor powder in a warehouse in Vinh City was recently discovered by the police to have expired.

On the morning of July 12, while on duty in the area near Vinh market bus station, an officerDEnvironmental Police Department (Vinh City Police)discovered a truck loading goods into Thanh Quang warehouse owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh (born 1975, residing in Doi Cung ward, Vinh city).
During the administrative inspection, the authorities discovered that the warehouse contained 1,632 packages of cornstarch, 140 packages of coconut flavor powder, 250 packages of tapioca pearl powder, 37 packages of tapioca starch, and 1 sack of tapioca flour.
The total weight of the above goods was nearly 1 ton and had all expired. The authorities have made a record of the confiscation of the above goods for handling according to regulations.
Previously, in July 2017, at this warehouse, the Environmental Police also seized 2.1 tons of food of unknown origin and administratively fined the warehouse owner for trading in goods of unknown origin and expired.
