However, with the attention of the Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the City Party Committee, and the supervision of the City People's Council, the City People's Committee has been proactive, flexible, and creative in directing, managing, and operating in the COVID-19 pandemic environment, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, people, and business community, promptly, drastically, synchronously, and effectively implementing epidemic prevention and control work, while directing the implementation of economic and social development targets and plans, achieving many positive results.

The city has focused on directing and drastically implementing the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic. Although the epidemic situationCOVID-19has significantly affected and impacted production and business activities, but the city's budget revenue in 2021 is estimated at VND 2,538.0 billion, reaching 128.9% of the estimate. The city also completed the approval of planning adjustments and announced the zoning plans of 25 wards and communes. Accelerated the progress of flood prevention and control works. Successfully organized the auction of 303 land lots, collected VND 698 billion to the state budget, reaching 68% of the plan. Completed 79/87 unfinished works in the 2021 public investment plan...

The city has implemented compensation and site clearance for nearly 100 projects, focusing on speeding up the progress of site clearance for key projects such as: Vinh - Cua Lo connecting road, 72m road, Le Ninh road, Nguyen Sy Sach extended road, Ho Tung Mau street art flower garden...

Regarding urban beautification to welcome Lunar New Year, Vinh City will build flower streets and put the art flower garden and fountain on Ho Tung Mau Street into operation during Lunar New Year.

Currently, Vinh City has nearly 80 central and provincial news agencies and press agencies with headquarters and permanent representative offices. At the meeting, representatives of news agencies and newspapers presented many opinions and recommendations to the city government, focusing on issues of planning, expanding the city's administrative boundaries, environmental pollution, management of collective housing areas, apartment buildings, urban planning, security and order, ensuring learning for students during the epidemic season...
