Awarded 100 million VND to support house building for poor households in Thanh Chuong and Yen Thanh districts
On the morning of November 7, the Provincial Party Committee, Nghe An Newspaper coordinated with representatives of sponsors Hoa Thuong Company Limited and Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation to present money to support house building for poor households in Thanh Chuong and Yen Thanh districts.
Attending the event were comrades: Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Agencies Party Committee; Ngo Duc Kien - Party Committee Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper; Mr. Nguyen Thu Thuong - Director of Hoa Thuong Company Limited; Mr. Truong Van Hung - Party Committee Secretary, Deputy General Director of Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation, local authorities of Dai Dong (Thanh Chuong) and Vinh Thanh (Yen Thanh) communes.
In Dai Dong commune, Thanh Chuong district, the delegation presented 50 million VND donated by Hoa Thuong Company Limited to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hiep, born in 1979, in Van Long village, Dai Dong commune, Thanh Chuong district.
Ms. Hiep's family is poor. Her husband, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, born in 1976, has been suffering from a serious illness since 2011. Currently, Ms. Hiep's family depends on her nearly 5 million VND in salary as a worker and is staying at her grandparents' house.
Ms. Hiep's parents are also poor and old, living on 2.6 million VND in Agent Orange subsidies from Mr. Quy (Ms. Hiep's biological father).
On this occasion, the delegation also presented 50 million VND to support the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Nghi, born in 1937, in Vinh Phuc hamlet, Vinh Thanh commune, Yen Nghi Thanh district, supported by Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation.
Mrs. Nghi's family is extremely poor, the house built a long time ago is infested with termites and is at high risk of collapsing, and there are no conditions to repair or renovate the house. She herself raises and worships her husband's younger brother, martyr Ngo Tri Lam. She currently lives with her two blind daughters: Ngo Thi Tinh, born in 1968, and Ngo Thi Thu Sinh, born in 1972.
At the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper Ngo Duc Kien acknowledged and expressed his deep gratitude to the sponsors, Hoa Thuong Company Limited and Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation - the kind-hearted, noble gestures, always accompanying social security activities, especially the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor, to "leave no one behind".
This is a meaningful activity, contributing to sharing some of the difficulties, adding motivation for poor households and households in difficult circumstances to rise up in life, and is the most vivid proof affirming the tradition and good morality of "loving others as you love yourself" full of humanity of the people of Nghe An.
