Donated 20 dining sets to Huoi Tu Boarding Secondary School

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 25, readers of Nghe An Newspaper donated 20 dining sets worth nearly 20 million VND to Huoi Tu Boarding Secondary School, Huoi Tu Commune, Ky Son District.

Huoi Tu Commune Boarding Secondary School is the place of study for 336 students from 13 villages in Huoi Tu Commune. Of these, 223 are boarding students, 90% of whom are Mong ethnic children, the rest are Thai and Kho Mu ethnic children.

Due to the remote location in the highlands and harsh climate, people's lives still depend heavily on slash-and-burn farming, so life is still difficult and they do not have the conditions to support their children's education. Therefore, currently, 223 boarding students still do not have a solid dining room, the dining tables are only temporarily made of damaged wooden planks.

Faced with that reality, the family of Ms. Thanh Mai (residing in Vinh City), a reader of Nghe An Newspaper, donated 20 dining sets worth nearly 20 million VND to students at Huoi Tu Boarding Secondary School.

“In reality, the school still has many difficulties, especially the lack of a solid boarding canteen, and the dining room is still lacking in equipment. The school is truly grateful for this help from Nghe An Newspaper readers. From now on, the students will no longer have to eat at the shabby, dirty tables made of makeshift wooden planks,” said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Vice Principal of Huoi Tu Boarding Secondary School./.
