Awarded 80 million VND to support the construction of charity houses in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 16, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs coordinated with Thanh Chuong district and representatives of sponsors to organize a donation ceremony to support the construction of gratitude houses for relatives of martyrs in the district.

Attending the event were Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs; Ms. Dam Nhi - representative of the Vietnam Red Cross Society; Mr. Ho Duc Thanh - Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province; Mr. Trinh Van Nha - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district.
At Thanh Hoa commune, the delegation presented 80 million VND (supported by the Ministry of National Defense) to Mr. Dinh Van Lam, a relative of martyr Dinh Xuan Chuong. Martyr Dinh Xuan Chuong (Hoa Lien hamlet, now Thuan Hoa hamlet, Thanh Hoa commune) sacrificed on October 2, 1972 at the Gio Linh - Quang Tri battlefield.
Mr. Dinh Van Lan is the younger brother of the martyr, and was authorized by his brothers and descendants to worship martyr Dinh Xuan Chuong. Due to difficult circumstances and the lack of conditions to repair the house, the makeshift house has seriously deteriorated. The financial support to rebuild the gratitude house is a meaningful gift expressing the morality of "remembering the source of drinking water, repaying kindness" to the families of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions, contributing to helping the families of martyrs overcome difficulties and strive to improve their lives.
