Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Principal of the Provincial Political School; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Nghe An province is the locality with the longest land border with Laos in the country (419.5km), with 27 communes (312 villages and hamlets) in 6 districts located on the common border with 3 provinces of Lao PDR (Xieng Khouang, Bolikhamxay and Hua Phan).

Therefore, the strengthening of the special friendship and cooperation with the provinces of Laos has always been directed by the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghe An province and has achieved many achievements in all fields.

Not only cooperating in the fields of politics and border security protection, Nghe An province and neighboring provinces of Laos have increasingly expanded cooperation in many other fields such as economics, trade, health, education, culture, society, transportation, tourism, etc.

This not only improves the material and spiritual life of local people in the provinces, contributing to the development in all fields of each province, but also contributes to strengthening and tightening the solidarity and traditional relationship between the two peoples and the two countries in general, creating conditions for the two countries to help and support each other in the process of international integration.

Particularly, the Provincial Political School, in the past time, has coordinated with the Steering Committee for the implementation of Project 165 of the Central Government to open 3 Lao language classes for nearly 100 students from provinces across the country sharing borders with Laos.
