On June 26, Khanh Son Commune Volunteer Group and representatives of local departments and organizations visited and gave Dong’s relatives 91.75 million VND. This is the amount of money that the volunteer group called for donations in recent days.
It is known that previously, 2 volunteer groups inside and outside Nam Dan district also called for and gave Ms. Dong's family 100 million VND... Currently, the Nam Dan Fellow Countrymen Association group on Facebook has also raised more than 12 million VND to help her family.
As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, on the afternoon of June 21, Ms. Dong went to work as a maid for a family in Hamlet 2, Nghi An Commune (Vinh City). While hanging clothes, she was electrocuted and suffered severe burns to many parts of her body. After being transferred to the National Burn Hospital (Hanoi), she had both arms amputated (one arm was cut near the armpit, the other arm was cut above the elbow).
Dong's family is in a very difficult situation. She is the only one working to support the family. Her two children are still young. Her husband, Ta Quang Than, has a herniated disc and cannot do heavy work. He can only stay home and take his children to school. There is also an elderly mother-in-law in the house.
