Presenting 300 gifts to members and women in border areas

During 2 days (June 22-23, 2018), the Women's Union and the Border Guard Executive Committee of Nghe An province coordinated with the Women's Union of Con Cuong district to welcome and work with the delegation of Nam Dinh province led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - President of the Provincial Women's Union.

On this occasion, the delegation worked with the Party Committee, the government, the Women's Union of Mon Son commune, and the Mon Son Border Guard Station to grasp the local situation. At the same time, they listened to the difficulties, problems, and aspirations of the women here to provide more specific and practical support in the coming time.

This is an activity to implement the Program "Accompanying women in border areas" for the period 2018 - 2020 launched by the Vietnam Women's Union in coordination with the Border Guard Command to promote the tradition of solidarity, mutual love and mutual assistance of the Vietnamese people; demonstrate the sentiments and responsibilities of the whole society, organizations, units, businesses, individuals and all levels of the Women's Union and Border Guard nationwide to join hands towards border communes, islands in particularly difficult situations, ethnic minority areas; create opportunities for women of border and island ethnic groups to improve their material and spiritual lives, contribute to socio-economic development, strengthen national defense and security, and build a strong grassroots political system in border areas.

Nam Dinh Provincial Women's Union has chosen Nghe An as the locality to accompany the program, directly in Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district.

During this working trip, the delegation supported 25 million VND in cash along with 300 gifts including medicine and clothes worth 34 million VND. The delegation also directly visited and presented gifts to 2 members with especially difficult circumstances in the commune./.
