Awarding the Special Task Force for arresting 2 subjects and 19 heroin cakes
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 6, the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district organized an award ceremony for the 618M Project Team for their achievements in arresting 2 subjects along with 19 heroin cakes and 4 kg of crystal meth.

The case was successfully solved by Thanh Chuong District Police in coordination with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (Provincial Police) and Anti-Drug Task Force No. 2 (Coast Guard).
Previously, after a period of monitoring, at 8:00 a.m. on July 4, 2018, on the Ho Chi Minh trail, Task Force 618M discovered a pickup truck 37C - 267.76 running from Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) through Thanh Xuan commune, Thanh Chuong district.
Seeing a favorable opportunity, the working groups of more than 30 officers and soldiers "arranged" according to plan to arrest and stop the pickup truck suspected of carrying a large quantity of heroin.
After several warning shots were fired by the police, the driver tried to flee and barricaded himself in the car, but was unsuccessful in the face of the determined struggle of the police. After only a few minutes of control, the two subjects sitting in the pickup truck were successfully arrested by the drug detectives.

They are Kha Van Cong (born in 1983), residing in Ngoc Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district, the driver of the pickup truck, the other subject is Quang Van La (born in 1994), residing in Thanh Son commune, Thanh Chuong district.
Searching the pickup truck 37C - 267.76, the authorities discovered and seized 19 heroin cakes and 4 kg of crystal meth.
According to detectives participating in the investigation, Kha Van Cong was the mastermind of this case. Previously, Kha Van Cong had repeatedly "probed" the police's discovery by driving alone to Laos but did not pick up the "goods".
