Dismantling a major drug trafficking ring through Thanh Thuy Border Gate
(Baonghean.vn) - At Thanh Thuy Border Gate area, Thanh Chuong district, the authorities have just fought and destroyed a drug trafficking and transportation ring from Laos to Vietnam.
In Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district, the force of the Department of Public Securityanti-drugThe Border Guard Command presided over and coordinated with the Nghe An Border Guard and Nghe An Provincial Police to arrest two subjects residing in Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province, while illegally transporting drugs across the border.

At the scene, the forces seized 17,600 round, red tablets with the symbol WY; 1 car with license plate 37A-126.52, 1 motorbike and 2 mobile phones, along with many other related exhibits.
Quickly exploited on March 22, the two subjects confessed that they were both drug addicts and the seized evidence was synthetic drugs.

Currently, the authorities are coordinating to expand the investigation and complete the dossier for handling according to the provisions of law.
