In 1 day, 1,200 Dien Chau residents received free medical examination and medicine.
(Baonghean.vn) - This is a practical activity within the 2020 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, demonstrating the enthusiasm of young people for community health.
On the morning of July 18, the medical team of Dien Chau Association of Hanoi Medical University coordinated with Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Dien Chau District Youth Union to organize the program "Summer Sun" to examine, provide free medicine and give gifts to people in Dien An commune.

During one day, 35 doctors and nurses from Dien Chau district working at provincial and central hospitals, along with 45 medical university students, came to examine and provide free medicine to nearly 1,200 people in Dien An commune.
In addition to a team of highly skilled doctors and nurses, the volunteer examination also brought many modern medical equipment and services to serve the people such as: electrocardiogram, bone density measurement, abdominal ultrasound, thyroid, thyroid cancer screening, cervical cancer by pathology, blood test with on-site results, X-ray, ENT endoscopy...

The funding for the free medical examination and medicine is about 150 million VND, mobilized from businesses and children of Dien Chau district who are working and living in Hanoi.
Along with examination and medication, people are also consulted by doctors on how to prevent and treat diseases; serious cases are referred to higher levels for further treatment.

At the program, the volunteer doctors and medical staff presented 58 gifts to disadvantaged families in Dien An commune... After 4 years of continuous maintenance, up to now, the volunteer doctors and medical staff from Dien Chau have organized free medical examinations and medicine provision for a total of nearly 4,000 people in the district.
