Nghe An Province Traditional Arts Center won the Gold Medal at the 2022 National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of May 28, the "National Tuong and Folk Song Drama Festival - 2022" closed in Vinh City. With 16 participating plays, the organizing committee awarded 3 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals.

Attending the event were comrades: Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Festival Steering Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Co-Head of the Festival Steering Committee; People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui - President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, Deputy Head of the Festival Steering Committee; Meritorious Artist Tran Ly Ly - Director of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater, Acting Director of the Department of Performing Arts; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, Co-Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, and representatives of departments, branches, leaders of localities, agencies and units attending the festival.

During the 10-day festival, more than 600 actors and artists from11 art unitshas contributed 16 excellent plays, elaborately staged with enthusiasm.
At the program, writer and playwright Ha Dinh Can - Chairman of the Festival's Art Council acknowledged the achievements, praised the great contributions of artists and actors from art units; and pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in the coming time.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the festival, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong expressed his joy that this year's festival had quality performances, attractive artistic performances, and many creative and new elements, despite the difficulties faced by the units after the Covid-19 pandemic. The Deputy Minister suggested that the art units pay more attention to creating artistic performances that meet the expectations of the audience. The leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also sent their thanks to the leaders of Nghe An province, relevant departments, agencies, artists, actors, judges and audiences of Vinh City for contributing to the success of the festival.“National Festival of Tuong and Folk Songs and Drama - 2022”.

With the impartial, objective and responsible work of the jury, the festival's organizing committee awarded 91 individual prizes (31 Gold Medals, 40 Silver Medals, 20 Bronze Medals) and 11 play prizes (3 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals, 3 Bronze Medals). In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 6 outstanding prizes to creative components such as authors, directors, musicians, painters and choreographers.
