Vinh University inaugurates its 65th training course.
On the evening of September 30th, Vinh University held the opening ceremony for its 65th training course and announced the decision recognizing its accreditation of educational quality standards for master's degree programs.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Van Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, along with representatives from provincial departments and agencies.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Professor Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang - Rector, Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council - happily welcomed the new students of the 65th cohort, congratulating nearly 4,500 students on becoming members of Vinh University with its rich tradition, and also congratulating the students who achieved the titles of excellent student and outstanding student in the 2023-2024 academic year.
The school chose the message for the 65th freshman orientation program: "Fire," with the desire to convey and instill in the students the flame of passion, aspiration, and guidance.
Professor Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang also conveyed the theme for the new academic year to all staff, employees, teachers, and students of the entire school: "Innovation, quality improvement, unity, and discipline."
The school's principal also emphasized: "The application of a Quality Management System compliant with the national standard ISO 9001:2015 and the Quality Assurance Standards for Training Programs from the new academic year 2024-2025 is a milestone and also the key for Vinh University to implement its action message for the new academic year."
At the opening ceremony, Vinh University also received certificates of educational quality standards for 5 master's degree programs: Educational Management, Business Administration, Construction Engineering, Crop Science, and Theory of State and Law; bringing the total number of accredited undergraduate and master's degree programs at the university to 35.
As a tradition, every year, the opening day of a new academic year is also the day Vinh University honors outstanding students, excellent students, valedictorians, students with high scores, and those admitted directly to the university.
On this occasion, the school commended two students who achieved the highest entrance exam scores of 29.75 points and 53 students with high admission scores in the 2024 admission period.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, the entire school had 292 students who achieved the title of Excellent Student and 1,921 students who achieved the title of Good Student.
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang - Rector and Chairman of the University's Science and Training Council - struck the drum to officially inaugurate the 65th training course, marking 65 years of building and developing Vinh University.
In the coming period, Vinh University strives to develop into a digital and smart university, a worthy and strong institution capable of meeting the development requirements of a region rich in cultural traditions and a strong tradition of learning, as well as the development requirements of the entire country; determined to achieve the goal of building the university into a prestigious training center in the region and the world.
