Le Mao Primary School celebrates its 30th anniversary.
(Baonghean.vn) - The teachers and students of Le Mao Primary School (Vinh City) are determined to preserve and promote the school's traditions, working together to compete in teaching well and achieving many accomplishments to be worthy of the trust and expectations of the school named after the steadfast Soviet revolutionary soldier.
On the morning of December 29th, Le Mao Primary School (Le Mao Ward, Vinh City) held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary (1989 - 2019).

Attending the ceremony was Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Vo Thi Minh Sinh – Chairperson of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Phan Duc Dong – Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; and leadersProvincial departments and agencies; leaders of Vinh City; and a large number of teachers and students from all generations of the school were present.

Le Mao Primary School was formerly Le Mao Elementary and Secondary School. From 1989, the school was separated and renamed Le Mao Elementary School, later becoming Le Mao Primary School.
Established at a time when the country and province had just emerged from the centrally-controlled economy, the school faced many difficulties in its early days, especially regarding facilities. At that time, the school had 39 classes with nearly 1,500 students but only 24 classrooms, many of which were dilapidated, and there was a shortage of desks and chairs, forcing the school to organize classes in three shifts (morning, noon, and afternoon).

In 1995, the school received support from the local government to demolish its thatched-roof buildings and pilot a boarding school model (two sessions of classes followed by meals provided). By 2000, the boarding school model was expanded and became one of the pioneering schools in the city. The school's achievements during this period were recognized with a Certificate of Merit for being a leading school in education and training from the Provincial People's Committee and was recognized as a National Standard School in 2008.
From 2016 to the present, the school has focused its resources on investing in and upgrading its facilities and teaching and learning equipment, and is considered one of the schools with the most modern and well-equipped facilities in the city. Classrooms have been upgraded with modern teaching equipment; functional rooms, multi-purpose halls, libraries, traditional rooms, playgrounds have been completed, and the canteen ensures food safety and hygiene…

Thanks to the efforts of teachers and students, over the years the school has had many students winning high awards in various competitions and exchanges, including 181 students winning city-level awards, 54 students winning provincial-level awards, and 42 students winning national-level awards…
In the last 10 years, the school has had 4 teachers awarded the title of Provincial-level Emulation Fighter, 86 teachers awarded the title of grassroots-level Emulation Fighter, 7 teachers awarded the title of Provincial-level Excellent Teacher, and 28 teachers awarded the title of City-level Excellent Teacher. The school as a whole has 86 innovative teaching methods recognized at the city level and 4 at the provincial level.

In the coming years, the teachers and students of Le Mao Primary School are determined to preserve and promote the school's traditions, working together to excel in teaching and achieve many accomplishments, worthy of the trust and expectations placed upon them, and worthy of a school named after a steadfast Soviet revolutionary fighter.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training - acknowledged the efforts and achievements of generations of teachers and students over the past 30 years. He also requested the school to promote dynamism and creativity, and to cultivate a team of highly competent, responsible, and dedicated teachers.
Continue to innovate management methods, teaching methods, and effectively utilize teaching equipment to improve quality. Strengthen the teaching of Information Technology, Foreign Languages, and life skills education, and build the school into an advanced unit according to international standards…

On this occasion, the entire staff of Le Mao Primary School and 5 individuals were awarded Certificates of Commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in teaching and learning.
