Previously, at around 12:00 on October 12, when the working group of the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department of Quang Binh Provincial Police was on patrol duty on National Highway 1A (section belonging to Doc Soi, Hung Thuy Commune, Le Thuy District), they discovered a pickup truck traveling on National Highway 1A in the North-South direction with signs of speeding, so they asked to stop for inspection.
When asked to show documents and open the car for inspection, taking advantage of the crowded situation with many vehicles, the two subjects recklessly fled. The working group organized a chase and at the same time reported to the leaders for instructions. The subjects quickly fled into the forest area on the border of Hung Thuy commune and Tan Thuy commune (Le Thuy district).
Evidence left at the scene included a pickup truck, the trunk of which contained many packages, baskets of goods inside containing a lot of crystal meth (approximately hundreds of kilograms) and some other tools and evidence. The Quang Binh Provincial Police Department urgently mobilized the Traffic Police Department; Le Thuy District Police and professional units to request local police to coordinate in arresting the two suspects.
Using professional measures and with the vigilance and assistance of the people, at noon on October 13, the police, militia and people arrested the Laotian while he was hiding in Le Thuy district. The subject was taken to the Drug Police Department of Quang Binh Province Police for further investigation.
On the morning of October 14, a leader of Quang Binh Provincial Police said that the case is currently under investigation and cannot provide specific information yet./.
