From Lam Dong to Nghe An to escape punishment and continue committing theft
(Baonghean.vn) - Tuan was fined by Lam Dong police for administrative violations for "Theft", but before paying the fine, he continued to steal property in Nghe An.
On the morning of April 26, Tan Ky District People's Court tried the criminal case against Dang Dinh Tuan (born 1987), residing in Ward 12, Bao Loc City, Lam Dong Province, for the act of "Theft of property".

According to the indictment, at about 3:00 p.m. on February 10, 2022, Tuan was walking on the street in Block 6, Tan Ky town when he discovered a red-gray-silver YAMAHA Jupiter MX motorbike, license plate 68T7-5083 of Mr. Tran Van Hung (born in 1957) parked in the yard. Seeing the key in the ignition, Tuan took the motorbike out to the street, turned on the ignition, started the engine, and then drove away from the scene along the Ho Chi Minh trail towards Anh Son district.
As for Mr. Hung, after discovering that his motorbike had been stolen, Mr. Hung reported it to the Tan Ky District Police. At around 3:30 p.m. the same day, when Tuan arrived at Hung Hoa hamlet, Nghia Hanh commune, Tan Ky district, he was asked by the police to stop his vehicle for inspection.
During the inspection, it was discovered that Tuan was the subject who committed the act of stealing Mr. Hung's property, so the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Ky District Police issued an Emergency Detention Order against Tuan, confiscated the above-mentioned motorbike, and then escorted Tuan to the Tan Ky District Police headquarters for investigation and handling according to regulations.
According to the asset valuation report, the motorbike that Dang Dinh Tuan stole was valued at 8.7 million VND at the time of theft. At the investigation agency, Dang Dinh Tuan confessed to all his crimes.
At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Tuan to 9 months in prison.
Previously, on August 12, 2019, Tuan was fined 1.5 million VND by the Da Lat City Police, Lam Dong Province for "Theft of property". The defendant has not yet paid the fine.
