From Yen Thanh to Tan Ky, stole motorbikes and brought them to Ky Son to sell.

(Baonghean.vn)- On the morning of November 27, Tan Ky District People's Court tried the criminal case against Pham Xuan Vinh, (born 1972), residing in Hamlet 5, Dai Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District for the crime of "Theft of property".

According to the indictment, from August 3 to August 28, 2017, Pham Xuan Vinh committed 3 thefts (motorbike thefts) in Tan Ky district of the victims Ms. Doi, Mr. Chi, and Mr. Duc. The total value of the property that Pham Xuan Vinh appropriated was 33,600,000 VND.

Vinh's trick was to take advantage of the owner's carelessness. Vinh used a "T" shaped wrench to unlock the car, started the engine and drove along Ho Chi Minh road to Anh Son district and then to Ky Son to sell it and get money for personal use.

The most recent incident, at around 10:00 a.m. on August 28, 2017, Pham Xuan Vinh took a bus to Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district, then got off the bus and walked to the Tan Ky district Cultural Center. Pham Xuan Vinh discovered a red-black Yamaha - Sirius motorbike with license plate number 37N1-098.41 parked in the yard of the Tan Ky district Cultural Center. He unlocked the motorbike, started it, and drove along Ho Chi Minh road to Anh Son district.

On the way, Pham Xuan Vinh called Kha Van Tanh (born in 1975), residing in Na Loi village, Na Loi commune, Ky Son district, to discuss selling the motorbike. Tanh agreed to buy it for 4,500,000 VND. After selling, Vinh took a bus back. During the transaction, Tanh learned that the motorbike was stolen by Pham Xuan Vinh.

On September 21, 2017, realizing that his actions were illegal, Pham Xuan Vinh voluntarily turned himself in to the Tan Ky District Police. At the investigation agency, Pham Xuan Vinh confessed all of his crimes.

In this case, Kha Van Tanh's behavior was that he directly consumed 03 motorbikes which were the property of Pham Xuan Vinh obtained through crime. That behavior violated the crime of "Receiving property obtained through crime of others".

However, in addition to consuming the 3 above-mentioned vehicles, Kha Van Tanh also committed many other acts of consuming assets, so the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police discovered and initiated an investigation with an independent case, so the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Ky District Police provided documents on Tanh's consumption behavior to the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police for settlement.

At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Pham Xuan Vinh to 18 months in prison, to compensate the victim 27,600,000 VND and to collect 4,500,000 VND in illegal profits to be confiscated to the State budget.
