Gynecologist's practice certificate revoked for 'misconduct'
Doctor L. - who was accused of "misconduct" during a gynecological examination - was fined 70 million VND and had his license revoked.
The Inspector of the Dong Nai Province Department of Health said that he is preparing a file to issue a decision to fine Dr. L. 70 million VND and revoke his medical certificate for 9 months.
During recent inspections by authorities, Dr. L. admitted that the facility had committed violations such as examining patients and selling medicine at the same time. The operating license only allows for internal medicine examination and treatment, but the facility still performs gynecological examinations.

Doctor L., owner of a private clinic in Long Binh Tan ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province, is the person who has been accused of "misbehaving" during a gynecological examination in recent days.
As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, on the afternoon of October 3, Ms. TTK (18 years old; residing in Long Binh Tan Ward) and her family members went to Dr. L's clinic, shouting and putting pressure on her because they thought Ms. K. had been raped when she came here for a gynecological examination. The incident forced the local police to be present to restore order.
Meanwhile, Dr. L. asserted that he was "wrongly accused" because his examination and check of the patient's private area was normal and followed proper procedures.
Bien Hoa City Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
