(Baonghean.vn) - Online shopping and cashless payments are gradually becoming a growing trend. Selling through e-commerce platforms, or the “4.0 market” model, is being widely deployed, making trading and exchanging easier than ever.
Online market, digital payment reigns
After being recognized as a 4-star OCOP, Ms. Ho Thi Que in Hamlet 4, Hanh Lam Commune - Director of Thanh Chuong Specialty Agricultural Products and Processing Cooperative, has found every way to promote the product to everyone through online sales channels such as: Nghe An e-commerce platform, online sales page, Fanpage... Thanks to that, the cooperative's revenue from the product has continuously increased, the market has expanded.
According to Ms. Que, bringing products toe-commerce platformhas brought about obvious results, the number of people knowing Thanh Chuong pickled products has increased sharply; every year, thousands of products are sold, creating jobs and stable income for cooperative members. Thanks to her smartphone connected to the Internet, she has brought her hometown's specialties to domestic and foreign consumers.

Applying information technology, bringing goods and agricultural products to e-commerce platforms is being gradually applied by many farmers; becoming an effective solution to help businesses and farmers expand their consumption markets and reduce production costs. In the information technology era, not only bringing goods to e-commerce platforms, many payment activities are also "digitalized".
Pioneering digital transformation and promoting e-commerce, Viettel has officially deployed the "4.0 market" model - a cashless market across 63 provinces and cities in the North, Central and South regions. From March 2022, Viettel Nghe An coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to pilot the 4.0 market project at Vinh market and continue to deploy 5 more markets in the second quarter including Do Luong market, Giat market (Quynh Luu), Tan Thanh market (Yen Thanh), Vinh Railway Station market, Hom market (Cua Lo town). In just 4 months of implementation, more than 1,000 small traders have been developed using QR codes to help people go to the market to make cashless payments with all denominations.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen - specialist in charge of the "4.0 market" model project of Viettel Nghe An said: After the pilot implementation, Viettel organized to draw experience and from September continued to expand the "4.0 market" ecosystem to the street cluster. The goal is to have 15 - 20 4.0 markets or streets by the end of 2022. Opening up new trading and economic opportunities on digital platforms for people contributes to creating leverage to promote economic and financial development; people from urban to rural areas can easily connect, exchange and buy and sell goods with just a phone number.
The concept of digital transformation and e-commerce is no longer a strange concept in society, especially in the current era of digital technology 4.0. Ms. Tran Thi My Ha - Head of Trade Management Department, Department of Industry and Trade said: Many enterprises and cooperatives have proactively innovated in business methods to suit people's consumption trends. Consumption of products through e-commerce transactions has helped many agricultural products find stable output, farmers have gradually recovered their economy, avoiding the situation of good harvest and low prices that has been happening for a long time.
In parallel with the traditional, direct business method, businesses in the province have connected with e-commerce platforms to sell goods, actively bringing products to major domestic distribution channels. Not only using the unit's website to promote and introduce products, businesses also promote social networking sites such as Zalo, Facebook, Tiktok... to post articles, advertise product images, post videos, livestream to introduce products and goods. Through that, although consumers do not go directly to the store, they still grasp and update full information and images about the quantity and quality of the product, thereby stimulating consumption. This is the most practical and effective solution to bring digitalization into people's lives, thereby promoting the cashless economy, opening the door to trade,digital economic developmentand digital society.
Continue to promote e-commerce
On August 5, 2022, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU on digital transformation of the province by 2025, with a vision to 2030. In particular, focusing on implementing digital transformation in the following areas: administrative management, agriculture, industry and trade, culture and tourism, transportation and logistics, security, order and traffic safety.

With the core goal of developing digital economy - e-commerce, in recent times, Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with departments, branches, localities, business associations, and entrepreneurs in the area to implement many programs to connect and practically support units and businesses, exploit domestic market opportunities, expand exports, and accelerate the process of production recovery after a long period of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In order to effectively implement the State management of e-commerce, the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Plan on e-commerce development in Nghe An province for the period 2021-2025. The Department also coordinated with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy - Ministry of Industry and Trade to train and support businesses to participate in domestic and foreign trading floors in the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic; train knowledge and application skills for students of the University of Economics; upgrade the trading floor and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and district-level People's Committees to introduce, promote, and consume products and goods,... on the 37nghean.com floor.

Along with promoting the activities of Nghe An commercial trading floor, in the past 2 years, the Department of Industry and Trade has supported more than 30 units and enterprises to build e-commerce websites; transferred dozens of software packages for customer management, sales management, smart hotel management; supported 6 units (Sen Que Bac Cooperative, Thanh Chuong chicken...) to develop online brands by building TVC clips, short films introducing businesses to broadcast on television, websites, social networks...
Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: Currently, we are implementing a plan to support bringing typical, specialty, and outstanding products to the market.OCOP products, rural industrial products... on the e-commerce platform 37nghean.com and a number of reputable platforms at home and abroad. In the coming time, the industry will focus on selecting qualified units with products certified for food safety; products with certificates such as OCOP, VietGAP, GlobalGAP, HACCP, ISO,...; key export products, rural industrial products, potential products as proposed by localities to support, build typical models, thereby leading and spreading the activities of buying, selling and consuming products on e-commerce platforms.
Nghe An province's e-commerce development index (EBI index) has been in the top of the country for many consecutive years, specifically: 17th in 2016, 16th in 2017, 15th in 2018-2019; 12th in 2020; 16th in 2021. Recently, at the Vietnam e-commerce panorama forum 2022 held in Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An ranked 15th on the rankings.
