Effectively applying Ho Chi Minh's thought in carrying out political tasks

On the morning of December 17, the Central Propaganda Department held a national conference to study and learn the 2020 theme "Strengthening the great national unity bloc, building a clean and strong Party and political system according to Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style".

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Bui Truong Giang emphasized: Currently, the world and regional situation, in addition to the basic advantages, also poses complex and unpredictable developments; domestically there are also many difficulties and challenges, requiring the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people to firmly adhere to the Party's revolutionary ideals and goals, the goal of national independence associated with socialism; promote the great national unity bloc, build a clean and strong Party and political system.

2020 is the final year to implement the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and organize Party congresses at all levels, towards the 13th National Party Congress.

Therefore, the research and study of the topic "Strengthening the great national unity bloc, building a clean and strong Party and political system according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" is very necessary, contributing to continuing to build a truly clean and strong Party and political system, promoting the synchronous and comprehensive renovation process, firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for sustainable development, meeting the revolutionary requirements in the new period.

To achieve results in the study of the subject, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested that delegates seriously absorb and combine research of documents, creatively apply them to the leadership and direction process in implementing political tasks of localities, agencies and units so that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style will increasingly achieve practical and lasting results.

To build a truly ethical and civilized Party, it is necessary to ensure the necessary ethical principles of the Party organization; the necessary qualities of cadres and Party members; to build and train revolutionary ethics "words go hand in hand with actions", building ethics goes hand in hand with fighting against unethical phenomena.

Regarding building a strong political system according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, it means respecting the people, respecting the law, valuing the quality of cadres and streamlining the apparatus, operating practically and effectively.

The political system, especially at the grassroots level, must always take the people as the main subject; must know how to make the people truly powerful, expand democracy so that the people can participate in making State policies and laws.
Regarding the Front and organizations, they must clearly understand and correctly implement the policies of the Party and State; at the same time, they must explain to everyone so that they can understand thoroughly and do it correctly; they must follow the people's path, and must not be bureaucratic, commandist, or forceful towards the people...
