Cleaning the barn, a man was electrocuted to death

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Canh Hoan, head of Thanh Phong commune police (Thanh Chuong) said that a person had just died from electrocution in the area. The victim was Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (41 years old), residing in hamlet 8B.

Nguyen Van Binh's family has a pig and fish farm in Nuong field, about 500 meters from their house. At around 10:00 a.m. on December 28, he went to the farm to clean the pig pen.

After 11am, Nguyen Trong Huy, a villager, came home from school and passed by the farm and discovered Binh lying in the pond next to a bamboo clump. The pond had been drained to catch fish and prepare for rice planting. Hearing the news, people around the village rushed over and found Binh dead, with an exposed electric wire still lying on the pond bank.

People at the scene said that while pulling the electric wire to pump water to clean the barn, Mr. Binh was electrocuted and fell into the pond.

It is known that Mr. Binh has been working on a farm for a long time, has 3 children, the youngest of whom is in 2nd grade. On the afternoon of December 29, the family and relatives will hold a funeral for the victim.
