Hoa Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) and Thanh Luong Commune (Thanh Chuong) reached the NTM finish line

(Baonghean.vn) - Paying more attention to promoting the role of people in building new rural areas is the wish of leaders at all levels at the ceremony to receive new rural areas for Hoa Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) and Thanh Luong commune (Thanh Chuong) on ​​the morning of April 16.

*Over the past 5 years, Hoa Thanh commune has mobilized 242 billion VND, of which people contributed over 200 billion VND to build the new rural area. Dozens of large and small projects have been invested in.

Taking advantage of its location near the town, with National Highway 7B running through it, Hoa Thanh commune also promotes the development of industries, services, trade, handicrafts, and construction. The whole commune has 103 people working abroad, and hundreds of workers working in many domestic companies and enterprises.

The average income per capita in 2016 of the commune reached 30.18 million VND; the poverty rate decreased from 9.1% in 2011 to 3.4%.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised and congratulated the Party Committee, government and people of Hoa Thanh commune for achieving the title of commune meeting NTM standards.

At the same time, he requested the local Party Committee, government and people to continue to pay attention to directing the maintenance and improvement of the quality of the new rural criteria. He also emphasized the role of the people as the main subjects in building the new rural areas and increasing people's income.

Implementing the policy of building new rural areas, in the past 5 years, Thanh Luong commune has mobilized over 112 billion VND to build infrastructure. People have been mobilized to clear land on routes to build rural roads. Nearly 55km of rural roads have been concreted, nearly 11km of canals have been upgraded, meeting the irrigation needs of more than 151 hectares of rice and vegetables in the area.

Currently, the whole commune has 9/13 hamlets and 5 units achieving the cultural title. The rate of cultural families in 2016 in Thanh Luong reached nearly 87%. Thanks to dynamism, creativity and innovation, Thanh Luong has so far completed 19 NTM criteria and was recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting NTM standards in 2017.

On this occasion, 4 groups and 4 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman for their many achievements in the new rural construction movement.
