Hung Chinh Commune (Vinh City) celebrates its 70th anniversary and announces the Decision to achieve advanced new rural standards.
On the morning of August 5, the Party Committee, Government and People of Hung Chinh Commune (Vinh City) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the commune's establishment and announced the Decision to achieve advanced new rural standards in 2024.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vinh City People's Council; Vo Thi Nhung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh City and a large number of cadres, party members, people, and children of Hung Chinh commune living far from home.

According to the history of Hung Chinh commune, Hung Chinh land existed about 550 years ago and has been divided, merged, and renamed many times. In 1954, Hung Chinh commune was officially established on the basis of dividing Chinh Dich, Kim Ma, and Thuy Cu villages, belonging to Hung Quang commune (Hung Nguyen).
Hung Chinh commune was formerly part of Hung Nguyen district and since July 1, 2008 was merged into Vinh city. Here, the Party cell was also established quite early in late 1946. From 3 party members at the beginning of the cell's establishment, up to now, Hung Chinh commune Party Committee has 414 party members, operating in 13 affiliated cells.

Exactly 70 years since the name Hung Chinh was established, the Party Committee, Government and People of Hung Chinh commune have united, made efforts, been creative, overcome difficulties and contributed to the revolutionary cause of the country and homeland in each revolutionary period.
During the resistance war against France and the US, the war to protect the northern and southwestern borders of the Fatherland, Hung Chinh commune had thousands of young people participating in fighting and serving in combat on all fronts, contributing with the nation to regain peace and unify the country; of which 71 people heroically sacrificed for the independence of the Fatherland.

In recognition of the locality's contributions, the Party and State have awarded the commune the title of Hero of the Armed Forces; more than 1,500 orders and medals of various types to families and individuals: 1 veteran revolutionary cadre; 6 pre-uprising cadres; 5 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers...
In the process of building and developing the country and homeland, the Party Committee, Government and People of Hung Chinh commune actively innovate thinking and quickly adapt to development requirements in each stage.
In particular, after 16 years of merging into Vinh city, the Party Committee, Government and People of Hung Chinh commune have united, made efforts, promoted the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement, creating many new steps of development together with the country and homeland.

Notably, Hung Chinh commune was recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2015 and meeting advanced new rural standards in early 2024. This is a result affirming the comprehensive development of the local economy - society, national defense - security, Party building and strong political system.

Celebrating the 70th anniversary of its establishment and receiving the Decision on recognition of meeting advanced new rural standards, in addition to being proud of the tradition and achievements in the past time; the Party Committee, Government and People of Hung Chinh commune also clearly see the difficulties and challenges that are being faced to be determined to make greater efforts in the next stage of development, building Hung Chinh commune to soon become a ward and a highlight of the western gateway of Vinh city.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Decision recognizing Hung Chinh commune as meeting advanced new rural standards and awarded a project worth 600 million VND to Hung Chinh commune.
The Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 2 individuals on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the commune's establishment; Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement to build advanced new rural areas.
The City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh City also presented the Party Committee, Government and People of Hung Chinh Commune with a banner with the words "Promoting the 70-year tradition of solidarity, construction and development".
