Building Nghe An Provincial Political School into a prestigious center for training and fostering cadres

PV:Could you please evaluate the most outstanding achievements that the Provincial Political School has strived to achieve during the 70 years of construction and growth?

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son:Along with the glorious history of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Political School truly has a very proud tradition:

Overcoming all initial difficulties and hardships since its establishment and through the revolutionary periods of the country and homeland, the school has trained and fostered tens of thousands of cadres, party members, leaders and managers at all levels; among them are comrades who have grown up and held important positions and responsibilities of the Party and State, many comrades are working in ministries, branches and provincial units, and have affirmed their capacity and prestige.

In particular, the school has trained and provided the Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, grassroots organizations and agencies and units with leadership and management cadres. Generations of cadres trained from the school are the vanguard and core force in leading and directing the successful implementation of political tasks of units, localities, sectors and fields, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks of the Provincial Party Committee.

The school has built a team of cadres and lecturers with high capacity and professional qualifications; dozens of cadres have been sent to temporary practical research at facilities, agencies and units in the province, to supplement and improve their knowledge, experience and working skills. All cadres and lecturers of the school have exemplary qualities, ethics and working style. It is this team that has created the prestige and cultural value of the school.

In 70 years of history and tradition, in addition to training and fostering results, the school's staff and lecturers have actively conducted scientific research and summarized practical experiences. Hundreds of topics and projects at school and provincial levels, many initiatives and innovative solutions... have been developed and applied in practice, bringing about practical results.

Although our province still has many difficulties, the school also has many shortages. However, to meet expectations and practical requirements, the school has constantly strived and improved in building its organization, apparatus, staff, and building a system of facilities and equipment for teaching and learning.

Thanks to its efforts to successfully complete its assigned tasks, Nghe An Provincial Political School has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party and the State: Second Class Labor Medal in 1986, First Class in 2006 and especially in 2011, the school was awarded the Third Class Independence Medal by the President - a very noble prize.

At the same time, during the process of construction and development, the school has continuously been awarded many certificates of merit by the Government, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Nghe An province for its many outstanding achievements.

The new era is posing increasingly higher requirements and demands. With what it has had and is having, the Provincial Political School will continue to maintain the trust and respect of all classes of people, cadres and party members, worthy of the great tradition over the past 70 years.

PV:Dear comrade, on July 30, 2015, the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued Project No. 12-DA/TU on "Building and developing Nghe An Provincial Political School in the period 2015 - 2020, vision 2030", demonstrating the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee towards the school. So what do you expect from Nghe An Political School when implementing this Project?

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son:Thoroughly implementing President Ho Chi Minh's teachings that cadre training is the Party's fundamental task, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has always paid great attention to the training and fostering of cadres.

The issuance of Project No. 12 DA/TU by the Provincial Party Standing Committee, dated July 30, 2015 on "Building and developing Nghe An Provincial Political School for the period 2015 - 2020, vision 2030" is an important premise and condition in terms of policies and guidelines for the school to realize major goals in all aspects in the short, medium and long term.

Currently, the school is actively consulting to implement the stages and contents of the project. In the period from now to 2020, the project will be a policy tool for the school to carry out important goals and tasks in terms of content, programs, types, and methods of training and fostering; in terms of building and improving the quality of organization, apparatus and staff; in terms of facilities, service equipment and coordination mechanisms.

At the same time, the project defines the 2030 vision to ensure that the school builds and develops in a long-term roadmap, with a fundamental strategy and a system of synchronous, scientific solutions to ensure in-depth, practical quality development.

To do this, in addition to the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the school needs to be united, highly determined, active and proactive in advising and organizing implementation, along with the attention, sharing, coordination, and upholding the sense of responsibility of relevant agencies and the trust of all classes of people, cadres and party members in the whole province. The school will certainly develop strongly and comprehensively, meeting the expectations and practical requirements.

PV:To achieve the goal of building Nghe An Provincial Political School into a comprehensively strong one; striving to become a prestigious center for training and fostering cadres, a center for scientific research and summarizing practices in the North Central region and the whole country... what are the tasks that the school needs to focus on in the coming time, comrade?

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son:Along with the honor and pride of the tradition and great contributions of the school over the past 70 years, to continue to build and develop the unit to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, the Provincial Political School needs to focus on implementing the following tasks:

Firstly, continue to do a good job of advising the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on training and fostering cadres, civil servants and public employees; effectively organize the implementation of the contents of Project No. 12 - DA/TU dated July 30, 2015 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Building and developing Nghe An Provincial Political School for the period 2015 - 2020, vision 2030" associated with focusing on effectively implementing the training and fostering of cadres in the spirit of the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW dated November 14, 2013 of the Central Executive Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, Resolution No. 32 - NQ/TW dated May 26, 2014 of the Politburo on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of training and fostering of political theory for leaders and managers.

Second, build and perfect the organizational apparatus, develop and improve the quality of the school's staff and lecturers to be strong, with qualifications, capacity, moral qualities, and political mettle of those working in political theory education; promote the spirit of solidarity, sense of responsibility, democracy, creativity, discipline, exemplary behavior, actively study and practice according to Ho Chi Minh's morality and style, strive to excellently complete the school's political tasks in the new period.

Third, strongly innovate the leadership and management methods of training and fostering activities in the direction of increasingly going into depth and linking training and fostering by title, diversifying types.

At the same time, the school needs to focus on improving the quality of scientific research activities, summarizing practices, identifying this as a factor providing "input materials" for training and fostering work and actively contributing to advising on policies for the locality; increasing investment in facilities and equipment towards modernization, meeting the requirements for teaching, learning and research of staff, lecturers and students.

Fourth, pay attention to the work of building the Party organization in the school Party Committee, improve the effectiveness of consulting and implementing the tasks of departments, faculties, and mass organizations. Build a democratic and civilized working environment, be a model in all aspects of work, promote the strength of solidarity and unity among the school's staff, and strive to excellently complete assigned political tasks.
