Searching all night for the bodies of two uncles and nephews in Nghe An who drowned while fishing at the dam
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing at Khe Lau dam, an uncle and nephew in Nghia Thuan commune (Thai Hoa town) were suddenly swept away by the water.
At 8:55 p.m. on May 1, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (CC&CNCH) of Nghe An Province Police received a report of two drowning victims at Khe Lau 1 Dam, Nghia Thuan Commune (Thai Hoa Town). Immediately, 13 officers, soldiers and specialized vehicles rushed to the scene, coordinating with Thai Hoa Town Police to organize a search for the victims.

The working groups deployed diving teams and used rubber boats, search engines, ropes... to search for victims at night.
Due to the darkness, visibility was very limited, and the water level was high, making the search very difficult. At about 22:56 the same day, the authorities recovered the body of the first victim; about 15 minutes later, the body of the second victim was also found.

According to initial information, the victims were identified as: Hoang Van Loi (born in 1977), Le Trung Dong (born in 1990), Loi's nephew-in-law, both living in Hamlet 6, Nghia Thuan (Thai Hoa town). Both were fishing when the accident happened.
