Yen Thanh elected additional position of Chairman of District People's Council

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the 19th term Yen Thanh District People's Council conducted the procedures to introduce and elect comrade Nguyen Viet Hung - Secretary of the District Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Council with 100% of the votes.

Previously, at the 10th session, the People's Council of Yen Thanh district approved the Proposal to dismiss comrade Nguyen Van De from the position of Chairman of the People's Council of the 19th term, 2016 - 2021 due to his transfer to work as Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An province.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Viet Hung - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Yen Thanh district thanked the attention of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and the trust of the district People's Council delegates; at the same time, he affirmed that this was both an honor and a great responsibility before more than 300,000 voters of the district.

Comrade Nguyen Viet Hung promised to continue to cultivate and improve his capacity to meet the requirements of being the head of the District People's Council, together with the Standing Committee of the District People's Council and People's Council delegates to perform well the assigned duties and tasks.
