Yen Thanh: Inauguration of the restoration project of Nha Quan Temple
(Baonghean.vn) - The restoration of the Quan Temple relic aims to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of local people; educate the younger generation about the tradition of patriotism and national pride, and become an attractive cultural tourist destination attracting visitors from all over to Yen Thanh.
On November 28, Tay Phu hamlet and descendants of clans in Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district jointly organized the inauguration ceremony of Nha Quan Temple. Attending the ceremony were representatives of scientists from the Institute of Han Nom Studies, the Institute of Literature, and the Institute of Vietnamese History. On the district leadership side, there were comrades Nguyen Viet Hung - Secretary of the District Party Committee; Phan Van Tuyen - Chairman of the District People's Committee, and representatives of district-level departments and branches.
Nha Quan Temple is located in Phu Ninh village, Van Tu commune, Dong Thanh district, now Phu Ninh village, Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, built to worship Phan Thuc Truc, General Phan Ham Mau and Admiral Dao Trung Lao.
Phan Thuc TrucHis pen name was Hanh Quy, Bo Phong Cam Dinh, Duong Hao Hien, he was a Third Class Doctor of the Nguyen Dynasty. He was also a writer, poet, historian, and geographer in Vietnamese history.
He was born on February 12, 1808, died on October 13, the 5th year of Tu Duc (1852), was from Phu Ninh village, Van Tu commune, now Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province.
His family had 7 generations of successful candidates. His father was Phan Vu, a famous scholar of good writing and morality.
At the age of 16, Phan Thuc Truc was the top scorer in the provincial "promotion" examination, and was known as a child prodigy. At the age of 17, he passed the Bachelor's exam in At Dau year (1825) at Nghe An examination school.
According to research documents, Nha Quan Temple is not only a place to worship gods who have contributed to the people and the country, but it is also the place where many important events related to local history took place, such as a mechanical workshop to produce weapons and ammunition; a place where the Central Military Commission opened classes and where important ceremonies took place.

Up to now, Quan Nha Temple has been restored on an area of over 2,000m2.2, completed with a Cong-shaped architectural structure, with high artistic and scientific value. The temple faces the South, with both communal house and temple architecture, exuding a magnificent splendor, combined with modern lighting and equipment. The construction items are arranged symmetrically including the Tam Quan gate, Bai Duong house and Hau Cung and some auxiliary items to embellish the landscape and campus around the relic. All items are restored to their original architecture.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to 10 excellent teachers at the provincial level of Phan Thuc Truc High School and 26 excellent students of Khanh Thanh Secondary School./.
