Yen Thanh opens free swimming classes for poor children
(Baonghean.vn) - The Yen Thanh Town Youth Union has opened a free swimming class for 30 students from 7 to 11 years old who are children of poor households in the area.

During the 8-day course (June 11-18), the students were instructed by the coaches on theory, breathing techniques, basic warm-up exercises when entering the water, and swimming skills. During the classes, the students were also equipped with skills and methods to rescue and provide first aid to drowning people.

The activity aims to help students improve their swimming skills, contribute to improving their health, and prevent tragic drowning cases from occurring. In addition, the activity is meaningful in creating a useful playground for young people; at the same time, clearly demonstrating the positive role of the Youth Union and Young Pioneers in accompanying young people during the summer./.
