Nowadays, due to the influence ofCovid-19 epidemicDue to complicated developments in many provinces and cities across the country, the number of children from Yen Thanh district returning to their hometowns is increasing. In order to share and reduce costs during the centralized quarantine period for those who have to be quarantined, the Yen Thanh District Charity Association has recently donated money, rice and some food... to organize free meals for a long time.
Statistics from the Vietnam National Front Committee of Yen Thanh district show that as of August 3, more than 1,000 people, who are children of Yen Thanh, have returned to their locality to avoid the epidemic from other provinces and cities in the country. Mr. Phan Anh Hung - Chairman of the Charity AssociationYen Thanh districtsaid that with the support of the District Fatherland Front Committee, the association members have made efforts to mobilize support from many different sources, including many businesses in the district. By August 4, the volunteer association had received 500 million VND, 2 tons of rice and many foods, utensils, drinks...
According to plan, Yen Thanh District Charity Association will organize cookingfree ricefor people in centralized medical isolation for 2 months, but will first be implemented from August 5 to 10, then continue to be implemented, but organized at more cooking locations. Every day, 2 meals will be cooked for lunch and dinner, each meal costs 20,000 VND.
"After cooking, the association arranged cars to transport thousands of meals to all centralized quarantine points of 39/39 communes and towns. It is expected that in the coming days, the number of people in centralized quarantine in Yen Thanh will reach 1,500 people, at that time, the association will provide 3,000 free meals each day," Mr. Phan Anh Hung shared.
