Yen Thanh launches 2 groups 'Supporting safe labor migration for women'

Bao Thanh and Son Thanh are communes with large areas and high population density. There are many female workers going abroad to work, many of whom go abroad illegally and have been working abroad for many years.

The establishment of 2 groups “Supporting safe labor migration for women” in these 2 communes is very important, contributing to providing support, connecting with services, improving women’s capacity in skills to prevent risks of violence, exploitation, fraud; improving understanding of workers’ rights and related policies for migrant women… in the localities.

Each group "Supporting safe migrant women for labor" is established with 30 members, who are women who have returned from working abroad or are in need of working abroad in the villages and voluntarily participate.

These are the first two models of Nghe An province and 2/6 models nationwide that the Vietnam Women's Union has deployed, learned from and widely replicated./.
