1,500 young people from Nghe An mountainous region participate in the 2022 Job Introduction Day

Consulting Daycareer guidance and job referralsis an important activity to orient and stream students into studying professions that are suitable to their own abilities and suitable to the socio-economic development conditions in the locality. At the same time, promote coordination in vocational training with vocational training institutions, promote labor export in the whole province.

Attending the festival were 1,500 students from junior high schools, high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education centers in the mountainous districts of Con Cuong, Anh Son, and Tuong Duong.

With the participation of nearly 20 enterprises and vocational schools, thousands of positions are expected to be recruited and enrolled, Mr. Cai Quang Binh - Director of the Vietnam Youth Support Center hopes that enterprises and vocational schools will be able to recruit workers and students to meet the requirements. At the same time, workers will find jobs and choose the profession they need to study that is suitable for their abilities, interests and personal requirements.

"In particular, the festival organizers need to pay attention to, create conditions and give priority to near-poor households, newly escaped poverty households, relatives of policy families, people with disabilities, demobilized soldiers, etc. in the districts of Con Cuong, Anh Son, Tuong Duong and Ky Son," said Mr. Binh.

Speaking at the festival, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy emphasized that the 13th National Party Congress approved the socio-economic development strategy for the 2021-2025 period and vision to 2030, in which one of the three strategic breakthroughs is to improve the quality of human resources, especially local human resources. Vocational training for rural youth and workers is a goal in the strategy to improve the quality of human resources.

In recent years, Nghe An has been strengthening many solutions toencourage vocational training for high school studentsand students in the stream. At the same time, effectively integrate the goals and targets of career guidance into the economic and social development plan, meeting the need to improve the quality of human resource training, serving development and integration.

At the junior high school level, on average in Nghe An, nearly 23% of 9th grade students are streamed each year. Of which, the rate of students entering vocational training increased by 16% in 2019 - 2020.

During the 2021 - 2025 period, Nghe An strives for at least 40% of junior high school graduates and at least 45% of high school graduates to continue studying at vocational training institutions.

The role of the Youth Union is increasingly evident in the coordination of solutions to improve the effectiveness of counseling and career guidance for students and youth.

According to the report of the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee for the 2017-2022 term, the Youth Union at all levels has provided career counseling to more than 270,000 young people; introduced and solved jobs for more than 87,000 young people. In the 2022-2027 term, it is expected that 300,000 young people will receive career counseling and 30,000 young people will be introduced to jobs by the Youth Union.

Recently, programs such as "Job Fair", "Career Consulting and Job Introduction Festival" in localities, competitions such as"Ideas, innovative and creative start-up projects of Nghe An youth", "Good young workers", Digitizing recruitment information, training and job introduction for young people has promoted the connecting role of economic development youth clubs and Young Entrepreneurs Associations at all levels. From that success, the Youth Union at all levels continues to innovate organizational methods and improve efficiency.

The Job Fair is an opportunity to further affirm the role of the Youth Union in caring for, supporting, and accompanying young people in the fields of counseling, career guidance, vocational training, and job creation for young people and young workers.
