100% of poor households in Nghe An receive Tet gifts
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2022, Nghe An mobilized more than 200 billion VND from the budget and socialization to support Tet gifts for poor households, households in difficult circumstances, policy families and social protection beneficiaries.

Continue to respond to the movement "The whole country joins hands"for the poor, leaving no one behind", promoting the nation's fine tradition of "mutual love and support", working togethersupport the poorTet holiday is widely implemented.
As of January 29, 2022 (ie 27th of Tet), nearly 40 days after launching the program "Tet for the poor - Spring of Nham Dan 2022", agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists and people inside and outside the province have supported with money and goods worth more than 126 billion VND.
In which, agencies, units and businesses support through the system.MTTQat all levels and directly giving Tet gifts in localities over 99 billion VND; support through appeals from member organizations over 26 billion VND.

According to information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, from the mobilized amount, Tet gifts were supported for 188,171 poor and near-poor households, families of workers, disadvantaged laborers and policy families with a total value of money and gifts converted into cash of more than 111 billion VND.
Specifically, there are 100%poor householdwith 66,673 householdsand 56.18% of near-poor households with 31,623 households received Tet gifts. Along with poor and near-poor households, there were also 89,875 policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, workers and disadvantaged laborers who also received Tet gifts from this mobilized source.

Also according to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the remaining funds from the Tet For the Poor - Spring of the Year of the Tiger 2022 program are expected to be added to the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels to support the poor with sustainable livelihood models to escape poverty; support the poor with means of production; medical examination and treatment; support poor students to go to school...
Along with the above-mentioned socialized resources, Nghe An province also focuses on taking care of and ensuring full policies and regimes for people with meritorious services and social security in the province during the Lunar New Year 2022 from the budget.
According to data provided by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, as of January 28, 2022 (ie 26th of Tet), the total budget for implementing the payment of Tet gifts from the budget for people with revolutionary contributions and social protection beneficiaries is more than 77.8 billion VND.

Specifically, the province presented Tet gifts from the President, guaranteed by the central budget, to 89,913 pre-uprising cadres, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and policy families with a budget of more than 27.7 billion VND.
Regarding the provincial budget, a total of more than 29 billion VND has been allocated to present Tet gifts to a number of units; outstanding meritorious people, outstanding elderly people, poor households with especially difficult circumstances, social protection beneficiaries, and longevity wishes to the elderly who are 90, 95, 100, and over 100 years old.
In addition, districts, cities and towns in the province have also allocated a total budget of more than 21 billion VND for families, policy beneficiaries, retirees, people with disabilities, and working officials...
