48 medals were awarded at the National Wrestling Championship.

The 22nd National Wrestling Championship was organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training in Nam Dan district. The tournament took place from September 8 to 12.

Nearly 100 athletes from 8 delegations from provinces, cities and sectors with strong traditional wrestling movements in the country participated in the competition, including: Hanoi, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Kinh Bac Traditional Wrestling Association, Dong Nai, People's Police and Nghe An. The athletes competed in 12 weight categories from under 48kg to 85kg and above.

After 4 days of exciting competition with dramatic and attractive matches, the tournament ended with the Gold medal match in all weight categories on the morning of September 12.

At the closing and award ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 48 sets of medals (12 gold, 12 silver, 24 bronze) to the wrestlers with high achievements of the delegations. Vinh Phuc delegation won 9 medals (6 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze) and won the first prize of the delegation. Bac Giang delegation won 7 medals (3 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze) and won the second prize of the delegation.

Nghe An delegation had 11 athletes participating in the competition, won 8 medals (1 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze) and achieved third place overall. Wrestler Nguyen Ba Luc excellently won the Gold medal in the 70 kg weight class.
