6 requirements for forces participating in Covid-19 prevention and control

The Ministry of Health has just sent an Official Dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, providing guidance on regulations to ensure safety for forces participating in supporting epidemic prevention and control work in localities.

One of the requirements that participants in supporting epidemic prevention and control work need to have to ensure the performance of their duties is to have received enough doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
In there,Ministry of Healthclearly states 6 general requirements that participants in supporting epidemic prevention and control work need to have to ensure the performance of their tasks. Specifically:

1. People who meet physical and mental health requirements; do not have underlying or chronic diseases (liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, obesity, respiratory disease, immunodeficiency disease...); Do not send pregnant women or women with children under 24 months old.

2. Not in close contact or in contact with a person in close contact with a Covid-19 case within 14 days before the date of duty; not showing symptoms of suspected Covid-19 such as cough, fever, difficulty breathing, sore throat, etc.

3. Have received full doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

4. Get tested for SARS-CoV-2 before starting to assist (within a maximum of 72 hours), periodically every 3 days during the working period and before the end of the working period.

5. Be trained on epidemic prevention and control regulations, the tasks of the working group, risk assessment, infection control and instructions on how to use personal protective equipment as required at work locations before participating.

6. Be provided with information on the epidemic situation, regulations on epidemic prevention and control, and information related to the locality and unit where you work.

Quarantine and testing period after the end of anti-epidemic support

The Ministry of Health's guidelines also clearly state that for those who perform tasks that pose a risk of direct contact with people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (epidemiological investigation; sample collection; serving centralized quarantine facilities; working at Covid-19 admission and treatment facilities; supporting mobile medical stations to provide medicine to people infected with SARS-CoV-2,...) who have received enough doses of Covid-19 vaccine or have recovered from Covid-19:

Perform medical isolation at home or at the place of residence for 7 days from the date of arrival/return to the locality. Perform SARS-CoV-2 test using RT-PCR method (02 times) on the first day and the 7th day from the date of arrival/return to the locality. Self-monitor health for the next 7 days, fully perform 5K.

In case of not being vaccinated or not fully vaccinated against Covid-19, quarantine at home or place of residence for 14 days from the date of arrival/return to the locality; perform SARS-CoV-2 test using RT-PCR method (02 times) on the first day and the 14th day from the date of arrival/return to the locality. Self-monitor health for the next 07 days, fully perform 5K.
