700 youth union members lit candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - Towards the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2018), Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security, and the People's Committee of Do Luong district jointly organized the program "Journey in the footsteps of heroes" and "Candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs" at the Do Luong district International Martyrs Cemetery on the evening of July 22.
Attending the ceremony on the side of the Central Youth Union were comradesNguyen Ngoc Luong - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, there are:Major General Nguyen Duc Minh - Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Party and Mass Work, Ministry of Public Security;Colonel Nguyen Van Phap - Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Mass Affairs, Ministry of Public Security; MajorDong Duc Vu - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Manh Khoi - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Central Youth Union Standing Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, and comrades in the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major Dong Duc Vu - Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Youth Union - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security reviewed the heroic fighting tradition of the nation, expressing his gratitude and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs, their families and relatives.

In recent times, the youth of the People's Public Security and the youth of Nghe An province have had many practical and meaningful activities to express their pride and uphold the good morality of the nation "when drinking water, remember its source", "repay gratitude"; always proactive, voluntary, responsible and affectionate in joining hands with society to carry out many projects and tasks on the occasion of the anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
In particular, the most prominent is the gratitude journey "Following the footsteps of heroes" with many activities such as: political activities, lighting candles in gratitude, propagating the law; visiting, giving gifts, building gratitude houses for families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services; giving scholarships to children of families of war invalids and martyrs; organizing medical examinations, distributing medicine; issuing and exchanging identity cards for people in Nghe An province...

This is not only to continue the noble tradition and precious morality of our nation, but also the responsibility, sacred sentiment, and gratitude of today's young generation towards the previous generation. In the sacred atmosphere at the International Martyrs Cemetery located in Da Son commune (Do Luong district), the resting place of nearly 2,400 outstanding children and Vietnamese volunteer soldiers from all over the country, delegates and nearly 700 youth union members offered flowers, burned incense, and expressed their respect and gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation.

On this occasion, the People's Public Security Youth Union and the Youth Union of Nghe An province presented 15 gifts to families of wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces in Do Luong district and 10 families of police officers in difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 1 million VND along with gifts.
