8 teams compete in the 9th Central Press Football Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) - Towards the anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21), on the morning of June 3, in Vinh city, Nghe An Press Club organized the 9th Central Press Football Tournament - 2023.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Hong Vinh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Over the past 8 times of organization, the localities that have hosted the tournament are Thua Thien - Hue, Da Nang, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Thanh Hoa. Each year, the tournament has increased in scale and quality, becoming a prestigious tournament, highly appreciated in the national press football tournament system.
Besides the professional aspect, the award has also created meaningful annual reunions, contributing to increasing solidarity and friendship among journalism colleagues.
More meaningfully, every year, the Organizing Committee donates to charity, supporting those in difficult situations. Houses of gratitude are built, scholarships are awarded, and less fortunate colleagues are supported with financial support to overcome difficulties..., all from the spirit of mutual love and sharing of athletes and fans.

In 2023, the tournament will be held in Nghe An. This year's tournament will bring together 8 teams from press agencies in the North Central region. These 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups to compete in a round robin to select the 1st and 2nd teams to compete in the semi-finals.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the Central Press Football Tournament decided to give a gift of 50 million VND to build a house of gratitude to a poor household in Nghe An province.
The tournament will take place from June 3-4, at the artificial turf field of Nghe An Vocational School No. 1.
