90 days to complete 5,624 houses for the poor in Nghe An
Currently, the demand for housing for the poor in Nghe An province is 5,624 houses and the deadline for completion is July 31, 2025. Localities in the province are accelerating the "sprint" phase for the remaining 90-day campaign to "reach the finish line".

According to the synthesis from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, through many reviews, as of April 24, 2024, the total need for support for house construction and repair in the period of 2023-2025 in Nghe An is 21,148 houses (14,655 new houses, 6,493 houses repaired).
The results of implementation from February 2023 to April 24, 2025, the total number of newly built and repaired houses in the province is 15,524 units (11,294 newly built, 4,230 repaired). Of which, the Program supports from socialized sources 9,159 units (7,675 newly built, 1,484 repaired); source 2 of the National Target Program 5,513 units (3,339 newly built, 2,174 repaired); the Program supports houses for people with meritorious services 852 units (280 newly built, 572 repaired).

Particularly in week 4, April 2025 (from April 18 to 24), the program to mobilize and support the poor and households with difficult housing circumstances continued to be promoted by Nghe An province and other localities with many drastic solutions.
Specifically, the province continued to start construction of 301 houses (133 new houses, 168 repaired houses). Of which, the Program supported 115 houses from socialized sources (50 new houses, 65 repaired houses); 69 houses from the National Target Program (23 new houses, 46 repaired houses); and 117 houses supported by the Program to support people with meritorious services (60 new houses, 57 repaired houses).

Details of the number of new houses started during the week in 14 localities (data from high to low): Tuong Duong district started construction of 118 houses (24 new houses, 94 repaired houses); Nam Dan district started construction of 48 houses (34 new houses, 14 repaired houses); Yen Thanh district started construction of 28 houses (21 new houses, 7 repaired houses); Thai Hoa town started construction of 25 houses (11 new houses, 14 repaired houses); Ky Son district started construction of 21 houses (14 new houses, 7 repaired houses).
Quy Chau district started construction of 17 houses (14 new houses, 3 repaired houses); Hung Nguyen district started construction of 10 houses (3 new houses, 7 repaired houses); Anh Son district started construction of 8 houses (3 new houses, 5 repaired houses); Vinh city started construction of 7 houses (2 new houses, 5 repaired houses); Nghia Dan district started construction of 7 houses (1 new house, 6 repaired houses).
Do Luong district started construction of 4 new houses; Nghi Loc district started construction of 4 houses (2 new houses, 2 repaired houses); Dien Chau district started construction of 3 new houses; Quy Hop district started construction of 1 new house.

In week 4, April 2025, the total number of houses completed, handed over and put into use was 278 (128 newly built, 150 repaired). Of which, the Program supported 114 houses from socialized sources (73 newly built, 41 repaired); 81 houses from the National Target Program 2 (19 newly built, 62 repaired); 83 houses from the Program to support houses for people with meritorious services (36 newly built, 47 repaired).

Details of the number of houses completed, handed over, and put into use in week 4, April 2025 in 10 localities (data from high to low): Tuong Duong district completed 79 houses (23 new houses, 56 repaired houses); Ky Son district completed 67 houses (32 new houses, 35 repaired houses); Yen Thanh district completed 58 houses (34 new houses, 24 repaired houses).
Nghi Loc district completed 14 houses (3 new houses, 11 repaired houses); Nam Dan district completed 12 houses (8 new houses, 4 repaired houses); Nghia Dan district completed 10 repaired houses; Do Luong district completed 8 houses (4 new houses, 4 repaired houses); Vinh city completed 7 houses (2 new houses, 5 repaired houses); Quy Chau district completed 6 new houses; Hung Nguyen district completed 2 new houses.

In week 4, April 2025, the Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Housing for the Poor received more than 1.8 billion VND in support; of which Nghe An Department of Construction received more than 1.4 billion VND, and Department of Agriculture and Environment received 400 million VND.
District-level localities continued to disburse nearly 12 billion VND; of which socialized sources were more than 11.1 billion VND and sources to support people with meritorious services were 810 million VND.

Statistics of implementation results from February 2023 to April 24, 2025 with the total housing needs reviewed and approved in 20 districts, cities and towns in the province show that the current remaining housing needs in the whole province are 5,624 houses (3,361 new houses, 2,263 houses repaired).
Of which, the socialized source program is 1,560 units (1,002 new units, 558 repaired units); the source from 2 national target programs is 1,348 units (802 new units, 546 repaired units); the housing support program for people with revolutionary contributions is 2,716 units (1,557 new units, 1,159 repaired units).


The deadline for completing housing for the poor in the entire province was set by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung for the political system at all levels by July 31, 2025.
Therefore, localities in the province are currently accelerating the "sprint" phase for the remaining 90-day campaign to finish building houses for the poor and households with difficult housing circumstances in the province.
