Runner-up of Nghe An province shares secret to achieving 29.5 points in block C
Having just decided to switch from Natural Science to Social Science starting from grade 10 and speed up review in grade 12, Nguyen Thi Thuy Tin, class 12D1, Anh Son 1 High School still achieved admirable results: 29.5 points in block C, the highest in Anh Son district and second in Nghe An province.
Talking to us, Thuy Tin confided that she was born and raised in a family where both her parents are farmers. Her father is currently working as a factory worker in Laos, and her mother stays at home and works in the fields. Feeling sorry for her parents' hardships, she has been self-conscious about studying since she was a child. She has 3 siblings, the eldest sister is currently studying far away, so in addition to studying in class, Thuy Tin also helps her parents with farm work, cleaning the house, and in the evenings, Thuy Tin studies by herself.
With her own efforts, Thuy Tin has always been in the top of her class from primary school to high school. In the provincial excellent student exam for grade 12, she won third prize in Geography. In this year's national high school exam, Thuy Tin made an impression when she excellently achieved the highest score in block C in Anh Son district and ranked second in Nghe An province with 29.5 points, including 9.5 points in Literature, 10 points in History and 10 points in Geography.

For Nguyen Thi Thuy Tin, to get a high score in the high school graduation exam, she practiced every hour, every day during her 3 years of high school. Although her strength in middle school was Natural Science, she switched to studying block C in grade 10.
Thuy Tin said: Block C is quite heavy in terms of knowledge, so during the review process, not only do you need to be diligent, but you also need to have a suitable method and schedule. Entering grade 12, I started to speed up and focus on studying, so I divided it into many very scientific stages for each subject and set goals for myself.
In the first semester, I focused on mastering basic knowledge, paying special attention to following the textbooks. Entering the second semester, in parallel with reviewing basic knowledge, I began to get familiar with specific types of questions and exams.
In addition, I also buy many books with practice test sets and spend time accessing the Internet to learn, expand my knowledge, and review different types of questions. During the final stage, I maintain the habit of waking up early at 4 am because this time the quiet space helps me study very effectively.

In the three subjects of Literature, History, Geography, and Computer Science, Thuy does not spend too much time prioritizing any subject and makes her own schedule for each subject, each day. With Literature, she focused on reviewing intensely from the beginning of grade 12, studying all the works, for each essay, she carefully reviewed the content about the characters, situations, content value, art and profound meaning of each work, divided it into many paragraphs and analyzed, then asked the teacher to help correct the essay.
For History, I focus on reviewing important topics and historical periods of Vietnam and the world. Grasp historical events, their causes, consequences and impacts.
As for Geography, Thuy Tin shared: the experience is to master general geographical knowledge, including terrain, climate, resources, and population of Vietnam and the world. For multiple-choice tests, Thuy Tin does the test in the order of "easy first, difficult later", getting the questions within her ability right first, then the difficult ones. Thanks to applying this method, she got 10 in both History and Geography.

Sharing her feelings on exam days, the top student of block C in Anh Son district said that to get this result, it was partly thanks to her preparing a comfortable mentality, confident spirit and optimism before the exam day.
Entering the exam room, although nervous, I still tried to apply the test-taking method I had planned in advance. The first thing was to finish all the questions because skipping just one question would greatly affect the overall result of the whole test.
Next, I paid attention to presenting my answer in a meaningful and clear paragraph. I am very happy and pleased to have achieved such a high result after my efforts and struggles. This is a gift of gratitude that I send to my parents and teachers, who have always supported, accompanied and taught me. I plan to use this result to apply for the Primary Education major at Vinh University, to realize my dream of becoming a teacher.
Thuy Tin listens attentively in class, actively acquires knowledge, and has a high spirit of learning. Especially during the exam preparation period, she is very diligent in researching types of questions, and with difficult questions, she meets with teachers to ask. When I know the exam score, as the person who is both the homeroom teacher and directly teaches and guides Thuy Tin, I am very happy and proud.
Teacher Nguyen Thi Luan, homeroom teacher, is also Thuy Tin's Geography teacher.
In addition to Thuy Tin's proud achievement, among the 8 students who scored 10 points at Anh Son 1 High School, class 12D1 had 6 students, in addition, class 12D1 had 20 students who achieved a total score of 50.0 or higher/6 subjects; 43/46 students achieved 9.0 points or higher in Literature, the average score in Literature was 9.26 points. The class is also proud to have Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh, the valedictorian of the whole school with 54.4 points/6 subjects...
