Warmth of Vietnam Poetry Day in Nghe An

Opening speech of Vietnam Poetry DaySpring of the Year of the Cat2023 presented by writer, Associate Professor - Doctor Dinh Tri Dung - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association stated: On the 15th day of the first lunar month of the year of Mau Ty - 1948, in the midst of the resistance war in its urgent and fierce stage, Uncle Ho composed the poem "Nguyen Tieu", expressing both romantic inspiration and imbued with world affairs and humanity, both a beautiful and emotional poem before nature, and expressing his deep feelings for the people and the country.

In 2003, with the approval of the Central Committee for Ideology and Culture and the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Vietnam Writers Association decided to take the full moon day of the first lunar month every year as Vietnam Poetry Day. After 20 springs with the development of the country, on the full moon day of the first lunar month,Vietnam Poetry Daywas held enthusiastically across the country. However, this activity had to be suspended for the past two years due to the pandemic.

After the pandemic, life is vibrant again with new nuances, the Vietnam Writers Association has chosen the theme of this year's poetry day as "New Rhythm". Nghe An is a sacred land, a land of talented people, also a land with a poetic tradition, contributing to national poetry great talents such as Ho Xuan Huong, Phan Boi Chau, and especially President Ho Chi Minh - a national liberation hero, an outstanding cultural celebrity.
