Eating an avocado a day helps reduce bad cholesterol

A study by the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, shows that eating fresh avocados every day can change lipid levels and improve cholesterol levels.

According to the results of this study, using butter in place of solid fats and foods higher in saturated fat significantly changed lipid profiles.

Fresh avocado is part of a balanced diet and is a cholesterol-free alternative to solid fats - which can be a solution to maintaining normal cholesterol levels.

In addition to natural fats, avocados are also a great way to boost fiber.

The study looked at 10 avocado studies in 229 participants, assessing the effects of avocado on cholesterol levels.

Researchers found that regular avocado consumption (1-1.5 avocados per day) significantly reduced total cholesterol, bad cholesterol, and triglycerides, a type of fat found in the blood, when they were substituted for saturated fat sources. Additionally, avocado consumption did not affect good cholesterol.
