Handing over the school building and boarding house for Bao Thang Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Ky Son)
(Baonghean.vn) - On September 5, Nghe An Children's Support Fund coordinated with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Ky Son district to organize a handover ceremony of a school and boarding house for Bao Thang Primary and Secondary Boarding School, Ky Son district.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dinh Tien Hai - Director of Vietnam Children's Fund; representative leaders of Vietcombank Vietnam; comrade Ho Van Hung - Director of Nghe An Children's Fund and comrade Nguyen Huu Minh - Chairman of Ky Son District People's Committee.
Bao Thang Commune is a remote area of Ky Son District, with 100% of the Kho Mu ethnic people living there. Bao Thang Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities has 483 students, of which 218 are boarding students at the school. The conditions for organizing teaching and learning and their activities are still very difficult.
The school building and boarding house for Bao Thang Primary and Secondary Boarding School has a total construction area of nearly 350 m2.2consists of 2 floors, the first floor has 12 rooms for boarding students, the second floor has 6 classrooms and other auxiliary items with a total cost of 7 billion VND. Of which, Vietcombank Vietnam Trade Union through the Vietnam Children's Support Fund sponsored 5 billion VND, the district budget matched 2 billion VND to build the project.
After nearly 1 year of construction, the project has been completed and put into use in time for the opening of the new school year 2023-2024. On this occasion, the Vietnam Children's Fund also supported the school with a clean water project worth 50 million VND.
On behalf of the leaders of Ky Son district, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district Nguyen Huu Minh thanked the leaders of the Vietnam Children's Fund, the leaders of Vietcombank Vietnam, and the Nghe An Province Children's Fund for their concern and sharing with the meaningful gift for teachers and students of the district. The district government will try to use the project effectively.
This is a very meaningful project to help teachers and students of the school gradually overcome difficulties, strive to teach well, study well, and achieve many high achievements in learning.
Along with the inauguration ceremony of classrooms and dormitories at Bao Thang Boarding High School and Secondary School in Ky Son district, on this occasion, Vietcombank Vietnam Trade Union also supported 2 billion VND to build the Lang Yen Kindergarten project, Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district.
